Suspects in Mr McCarthy’s Murder

Mr McCarthy, the victim,
His death does depict him.
What a man, loathsome,
With love present, although only some.
Living with a friend old,
Free luxuries were spilled to him, behold!
Turner, the landlord, and the friend
Shown to be loyal and seemed godsent.
The damning marriage proposed by the former,
By the latter was frowned upon.
Sherlock found this a motive strong,
Did their loving relation hold long?

James McCarthy, the victim’s son,
Was the damnedest suspect, overshadowed by none.
On the disagreeing side of the wedding he stood,
And the heated argument with witnesses did him no good.
With strong language and near abuse,
The path of murder, did he choose?
The call of the father shows their love,
But with the pressure, aside was that shoved?

Sherlock and Watson, friends through time,
Solved the murder, immensely prime.
With Watson’s presence bringing a huge change,
Full of trust is their exchange.
Watson’s profession came to aid,
Clear the angle of attack, it made.

Was it the son, James McCarthy,
Who cried with blood on his hands?
Or his friend, Turner,
Who gave out bounties with no demands?
Was it the very loyal lad,
Or the distant son who goes bad?
Watson and Sherlock tread through the case,
Will they expose the true culprit’s face?
