The Boscombe Valley Mystery is a rather intriguing story revolving around the murder of Charles McCarthy and the strong accusation towards his son, James McCarthy, being the culprit due to the many pieces of evidence and witnesses such as the violent quarrel highlighted between him and his father. However, Holmes says that the evidence can show different conclusions depending on the angle from which it is seen and so, sets off to Boscombe with his companion, Watson, to solve this complex mystery by the request of Alice Turner who was the daughter of Mr Turner, a close friend of Mr McCarthy.
